Telling a story using spokden words gives ekstra dimensions to the music and often the two media will establish a symbiosis. It is not nessasary to tell the full story, but leaving a fragment of a story will leave behind images and a desire to know the rest.

Cold War Secret Plane Observations
In the 1950 and 1960ties the number of UFO observations were peaking, probably as a result of the fear of the cold war and lack of knowledge of technological improvements.
This story uses lots of stories and documentation from that time as well as video with US patents of UFO designs from that time. The whole music is 45 minutes long and can be performed live using analog synths and toys.

Salim and the Efreeti
The modern fable of Salim and the Efreeti is one of my favorite chapters in Neil Gaiman's American Gods. It is the story about Salim being sent from Oman to New York City to see crap. Everything goes bad, and he meets an Efreeti, though not granting wishes, helps Salim out of his misery. The track has been heavily shortened and consists of three essential parts; his time in New York, the cap drive and the hotel.Randezvous with Rama
Randezvous with Rama is one of the most amazing classic science fiction stories by Arthur C. Clarke. An alien object enters the solar system and a groups of explorers are sent to investigate. The object is a rotating cylendar and with a large radius, thus sustaining 1 g gravity in the inside of the cylendar. As the group of exploreres enters the inner side of Rama, a deep frozen alien world wakes up.As an addendum, there has been talks about making this into a movie. Morgan Freeman has the rights and supposed to have Fincher as director. It is now 10 years ago the project was initiated, so I highly doubt this movie will be finished. Maybe some day!!!
